Position Summary:
Our Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports a variety of team members at all levels in delivering construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The APM plays a key role in managing project documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that the necessary tools, resources, and information are in place for project success. The APM focuses on effective subcontractor coordination, robust communication, and maintaining project schedules and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Preconstruction in the development of project scopes, bid forms, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate the bid solicitation process, including preparing bid packages and managing bid tabulations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, contract documents, and change orders.
- Assist in preparing and administering contracts and change orders with subcontractors and vendors.
- Set up and manage submittal packages, ensuring timely receipts of all items.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of closeout documents.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years as a Project Engineer of Assistant Project Manager with a commercial construction manager, preferably with experience in both design/build and design/bid/build delivery methods.
- Proficient using construction project management tools such as Procore, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam.
- Knowledge of construction processes and scheduling.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a face-paced environment.
- Must be willing to relocate to Madison, WI before starting work.
