Thompson Houston is now recruiting an Assistant Director of Housekeeping to join the hotel’s opening team. The Assistant Director of Housekeeping will help to oversee all aspects of the Housekeeping operation which will include guest rooms, public areas, laundry and specified back of house areas. This requires a solid understanding of housekeeping, linen pars and will assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed. We are looking for someone to create an ultra-luxury experience full of anticipating guest needs, customizing the guest experience, and services guest needs. These responsibilities may also include staff training, development and scheduling. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will promote a positive atmosphere for our guests and team members while expecting high attention to detail and customer service skills. This position reports directly to the Director of Housekeeping.

Qualifications

  • · 2-3+ years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience

    · A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

    · Refined verbal and written communication skills.

    · Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.

    · Service oriented style with professional presentations skills

    · College education in Hospitality Business Management or equivalent experience preferred

    · Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line

    · Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
