Description
The individual will primarily be responsible for the analysis of the quantitative, structural and credit aspects of corporate CLOs and other structured credit transactions, publishable research, and special projects intended to enhance Moody's analytics and research. The individual will be expected to lead rating committees and offer their analysis of the potential credit impact of the terms of the transaction documents.
Responsibilities
Model cash flow CLOs and analyze their transaction documents for the purpose of determining credit risk and ratings. Prepare rating committee memos and present rating recommendations to rating committees
Communicate with clients, including arrangers, issuers, investors, and outside legal experts
Write publishable research, including transaction-related reports and articles on credit issues affecting the industry
Participate in on-site operations reviews of issuers
Work on projects that enhance rating analysis and processes
Qualifications
MBA or Master's degree in Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering or related quantitative field with at least 4 years as an analyst or related occupation, involving credit analysis for CDOs and complex structured credit transaction.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential
Strong modeling skills and experience with MS Excel, Moody's CDOEdge, and Moody's CDOROM software
Ability analyze and interpret legal documents and to identify a transaction's credit strengths and weaknesses
Experience leading and working with teams on projects
Strong analytical orientation
Sound judgment, highest ethical standards and capable of complying with extensive rules, policies, and procedures

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$133,100 - [[$192,950, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
