Job Summary

The Engineering Advising Center (EAC) provides academic advising services to first-year and undeclared College of Engineering (CoE) undergraduate students and oversees several College-wide programs (1st Gen Engin, Michigan Engineering Transfer Support, CoE Peer Mentor Program). The EAC's mission is to empower new undergraduate students to take ownership of their academic and personal development, connect with resources and opportunities, and transition into the Michigan Engineering community. Our team of professional staff and peer advisors works with faculty, staff, and students across the College and University to help CoE students get off to a strong start.

We are continuing to grow our team to provide more personalized advising support by recruiting for 2-4 advisors starting this fall! As an Academic Advisor, you will be the primary advisor for a cohort of first-year and undeclared CoE students. In addition to individual and group advising, you may coordinate one or more EAC-affiliated programs, plan events, participate in assessment and evaluation, build relationships with campus partners, and contribute to EAC strategic initiatives. We are looking for candidates with a creative and collaborative spirit and a deep commitment to supporting students, particularly those from underserved groups. We strive to create an office culture that promotes a healthy balance between work and life.
