Our client, an in-house retail company, is seeking a Textile Designer to join their team. This role is onsite in New Jersey, four days a week, with WFH Fridays.
You must be able to commute 4days a week to Saddle Brook, NJ and Have portfolio samples to be officially considered
Responsibilities:
The person selected will design and develop rug patterns, digital mockups, and layouts that align with current market trends. They will refine color schemes, textures, and materials to create high-quality, visually compelling designs. This individual will also collaborate with suppliers to source sustainable materials and oversee approvals.
They will work closely with manufacturers to produce and refine prototypes based on feedback, ensuring final products adhere to design specifications. The person selected will also supervise the production process, maintain quality control, and ensure timely execution. Additionally, they will manage project timelines and budgets while collaborating with internal teams to align designs with business objectives.
Must Haves:
- 2+ years of textile design experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and AutoCAD
- Experience working with manufacturers on textile prototypes and production
- Ability to manage project timelines and budgets
Nice to Haves:
- Familiarity with PLM systems for product lifecycle management
- Experience working with big-box retailers (e.g., Walmart, Target, Costco, Home Depot, Lowe's, Sam's Club, BJ's Wholesale Club, Kohl's)
- Background in home retail, rug or interior decor industries
-Experience collaborating with sales, procurement, or product development teams
