Reporting to: Vice President, Commercial Co-Lead Hematology Therapeutic Area
Position Description Summary
The Senior Director Hematology, GCD Lead for Patient Blood Management (PBM) is responsible for the development and execution of global commercial strategies for pipeline products across the entire Hematology Therapeutic Area (TA), focusing on strategic execution of the PBM enterprise program in collaboration with CSL Vifor.
This role is the key interface with R&D, ensuring a unified commercial voice.
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Develop and implement global commercial strategies for pipeline products and PBM enterprise program, ensuring optimal value and access. This includes developing strategic commercial plans containing brand vision and strategic imperatives.
- Develop comprehensive “go to market” strategies, aligned with above market stakeholders and county leaders for all pipeline products in the TA, which includes commercial blueprints and value propositions.
- Ensure critical customer insight and market analysis of our own and competitor products for use in analyzing new product opportunities and defining commercial strategies.
- Create and use customer-driven insights to drive the identification of innovative life cycle management opportunities for key brands.
- Serve as the commercial lead for high-value late-stage business case development, ensuring appropriate collaboration with US and International Marketing teams.
- Facilitate a unified commercial perspective into R&D processes, ensuring that commercial insights are effectively incorporated into product development.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing, life sciences, or healthcare discipline; MBA or graduate degree preferred.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology sales/marketing or related experience, with at least 8 years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales and marketing experience.
- Proven record of accomplishment in strategic brand marketing roles.
- Experience in launching new brands.
- Experience in leading and managing teams.
