As a member of the Social Work Education team, you will play a vital role helping to lead the Michigan Medicine Social Work Education program. As the largest internship program in the state of Michigan, the program offers in depth and innovative social work training opportunities for MSW and BSW students from a variety of schools of social work (across Michigan and nationally). This position will assist with oversight of the program's training components and will report directly to the Director of Social Work Education. As program manager, you will interact with social work field instructors, students, schools of social work, and interprofessional leaders/colleagues.

Responsibilities*
You will be responsible for:
- Oversight of the social work student internship program
- Co-Chair the Michigan Medicine SW Education Committee
- Coordination of student recruitment and placements
- Field instructor training and support
- Planning, training, and coordination of the various training components: workshops, mentorships, preceptorships, clinical skills training rotations, social justice grand rounds, and the various interprofessional education and simulation experiences
- Social Work intern orientations
- Strategic relationships with key stakeholders at the various schools of social work
- Ensure Medicare reimbursement is maximized
- Oversight over the various student recruitment pipelines: work study students, independent study students, summer youth employment students
- Coordination and oversight over the interprofessional training opportunities
- Management, training, and coordination of our Global studies students
- Collaboration with Social Work leadership team
- Additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications*
- A Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education. (LLMSW?s will not be considered for this position)
- A current license to practice social work in the State of Michigan.
- Experience as a MSW social work field instructor completing at least two full SW internships

- Research experience
- Experience with the Michigan Medicine MiChart electronic medical record
Work Schedule
This is full time, 40 hour/week position. The typical schedule is Monday-Friday with start and end times 8:00-4:30 or 8:30-5:00.
Work Locations
1500 E. Medical Center Drive Ann Arbor, MI 48109.
Some travel to Michigan schools of social work or Michigan Medicine field sites may be required.

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
