Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative intern to join our Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Value Demonstration Team. As an intern, you will learn how HEOR operates within the pharmaceutical industry and supports the business goals of the company.
The intern will be deeply involved with the HEOR team, playing a crucial role in understanding and shaping the value proposition of our interstitial lung disease and oncology products, as well as their pipelines. The intern will work cross-functionally, collaborating with medical, value and access, epidemiology, and real-world evidence teams to design and implement health economic models and outcomes research studies. Through direct experience and mentorship, the intern will gain profound insights into the essential role of HEOR in formulating market access strategies. The internship will take place in-person at Boehringer's office in Ridgefield, CT.

Duties & Responsibilities
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support Diverse HEOR Study Types: Assist in conducting a variety of HEOR study types, including retrospective claims analysis, electronic medical record database evaluations, cost-effectiveness and budget impact modeling, meta-analysis, and systematic literature reviews.
- Contribute to Research Processes: Play an integral role in all aspects of research, from conceptualization and protocol development to statistical analysis, supplier management, and dissemination of findings.
- Strategic Planning: Work closely with HEOR colleagues and cross-functional business partners to understand and develop strategic and tactical plans that align with the business objectives of each respective therapeutic area.
- Assist with Material Creation: Collaborate with internal HEOR colleagues to create impactful slide decks and other materials tailored for both internal and external audiences.
- Engage in Team Meetings: Actively participate in team, department, and cross-functional meetings to deepen your understanding of the role of HEOR within the pharmaceutical industry and at Boehringer Ingelheim.
Requirements
Must be a Graduate or Professional Student in good academic standing.
Must have completed 9 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework.
Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at least 3.000 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up).
Major must be related to the field of internship (e.g., pharmacy, health economics, health services research, epidemiology, or other related area).
Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship
