Here are the details:

Position: Automation and Integration Specialist

Location: Hybrid on-site 3 days a week in Plano, TX (also open to Richmond or Mclean VA)

Rate: Negotiable based on experience

Duration: 1-2 year contract to hire

Position Summary:

Design and develop automated workflows and integrations to streamline asset and configuration management processes
Implement APIs and scripts to integrate ServiceNow with other IT systems (e.g., monitoring tools, CMDB, ticketing systems)
Automate data collection, validation, and reconciliation tasks to improve data accuracy and reduce manual effort
Develop custom reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide real-time insights into asset and configuration data
Collaborate with the Asset and Configuration Management Coordinator to identify areas for automation and process improvement
Provide technical guidance and support to the IT team on automation and integration best practices
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the automation and integration space

Basic Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in software development or IT automation
Proficient in one or more scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript)
Experience with API development and integration, including the ability to design and implement RESTful APIs
Familiarity with ServiceNow platform and its SDK, or the ability to quickly learn and adapt
Understanding of IT asset and configuration management processes and data structures
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address integration challenges
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Familiarity with SQL queries/Excel
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins) is a plus
