Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Medicine Quality Management department located at our Ridgefield, CT facility. As an Intern, you will assist in overseeing evidence generation activities, support in non-compliances, audits, and inspections, as well as streamlining administrative tasks. Furthermore, the Co-Op will play a key role in risk identification and contribute to the continuous improvement process. This project aims to enhance efficiency and ensure high-quality operations within the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and monitoring the activities related to evidence generation. This may include data collection, analysis, and documentation.
- Provide support in non-compliances, audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures. This objective aims to maintain quality and identify areas for improvement in partnership to the QM Analyst.
- Work on optimizing administrative processes and tasks, reducing inefficiencies, and improving overall productivity within Clinical Development Operations and Medical Affairs.
- Participate in identifying and assessing opportunity areas associated with evidence generation, non-compliances, audits, inspections, and other relevant activities. This objective aims to mitigate potential risks and ensure the safety and efficacy of medical products. The deliverables might be included in the QMR.
- Play a key role in identifying opportunities for improvement in processes, and overall operations. This objective aims to support on reduce the burden on QM QCLs and maintain high-quality operations at Quality Medicine.
Requirements
- Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
- Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship.
- Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)preferred.
- Major or minor in related field of internship
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university.
- Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university.
Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Pursuing a degree related to science and/or healthcare.
- Pursuing master's or PhD degree highly preferred
- Prior experience or exposure tied to clinical operations/development and/or medical affairs preferred.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Compensation
This position offers an hourly rate of $29/hr or $33/hr commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled.For an overview of our benefits please click here.
