Production Supervisor
Where will you work: The successful candidate can work out of either our Four Corners or South Ft Meade site.
How will you work: This is an onsite position working a schedule of AM/PM rotating 12 hour shifts.
The Production Supervisor ensures safe and environmentally sound daily production activities, supporting mine and plant continuous operations. This role oversees all aspects of production supervision, including managing hourly employees, product quality, safety, environmental compliance, effective dragline operations, and cut management. The Supervisor also assists with process improvements, capital projects, employee training, and qualifications. Acting as a liaison between management, shift operations, and maintenance, the Supervisor conducts audits, inspections, and reviews and authorizes work permits; identifies critical work and enters work requests into SAP.
What you’ll do:
- Maintain safe and environmentally sound operating conditions within equipment design parameters
- Lead, schedule, coach, train, and develop hourly employees as needed (incl. safety and environmental)
- Facilitate ongoing communication between hourly employees and management to ensure efficient dragline operation, cut management, product quality, allocation of resources, safety and environmental
- Work with operations and maintenance to troubleshoot and address problems in the mine to maximize product and safety.
- Assist in the implementation of process improvements or capital projects
- Conduct audits and inspections
- Review and authorize work permits
- Identify and communicate critical work and enter work requests into SAP and RAIL
What you’ll need:
- High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of relevant experience or 2 year technical program with 2+ years of experience
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with SAP, Pi, OIS, Kronos
- Must be an effective leader and have positive influence on hourly work force
- Solid motivational, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills in a fast- paced environment
Bonus points if you have the following:
- Technical or Engineering Bachelor’s degree with at least 1+ years of relevant experience
- Step-up, leadership, or supervisory experience
- Industrial experience and or supervisory experience
