The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $92,185.60 - $115,232
Purpose:
Primary responsibility is to manage the leak survey programs (including Inside Service Line Inspections) for AVANGRID NY-East region to include safe, accurate and compliant completion of leak survey assigned work/projects. Collaborate with and provide support for other operations staff; resolve complaints; respond to gas emergency situations and/or facilitate Gas Operations response protocols to emergency situations. Responds to all emergency situations, fulfills overtime assignments and on-call/office/field coverage as directed. Provides both administrative and managerial supervision to contractors and bargaining unit employees.
Qualifications: (minimum qualifications for assignment to this job)
Education: High School Diploma Experience: 7 Years
Candidate must have at least 7 years of very strong gas operations experience. Must have administrative, communication and decision making abilities. Strong leadership/ managerial skills required. Candidate must be available 24/7/365 to support gas emergency situations. An Associates degree is preferred.
Knowledge specific to gas operations generally and specific Leak Surveys. The candidate must have strong quantitative skills with a proven ability to use/ produce spreadsheets or other similar programs, strong written and verbal skills and a proven ability to use MS Office. Must be self- directed and have demonstrated initiative and assertiveness skills with strong labor relations skills and experience with the grievance process and a working understanding of the Collective Bargaining Agreements. Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced, mission critical environment. Must have a valid driver’s license and may require DOT Operator Qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Enhances and maintains the leakage survey program to provide for compliant
completion of leakage surveys according to state and federal regulations.
Schedules and monitors the leakage surveys in a proactive manner.
Collaborates extra departmentally to ensure operations commensurate with
the Company’s GOMP.
Provides reports and analysis on leaks, leakage surveys and other metrics to ensure full transparency.
Update Company’s records with regards to leak survey data including but not limited to database information, mapping records, customer records, procedures, etc.
Provide informational and material support for field crews.
Establish and maintain an internal QA/QC program to increase survey quality and thereby system safety.
Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of administrative
departmental activities, not limited to, Operator Qualification
compliance, training, vacations, shift scheduling, and other items as
needed.
Responsible for processing payroll, overtime, and tracking employee
and contractor productive/unproductive work time.
Ensure all employees and contractors fully understand their personal responsibility
and accountability to adhere to standards of performance and departmental
objectives regarding safety and all other work-related activities.
Review and approve invoices for work performed by external services as well as equipment maintenance and purchasing.
Each employee must accept responsibility for their own safety and health
as well as the safety and health of their fellow employees.
