Summary:

As an iOS mobile developer focused on architectural improvements, this role involves enhancing the underlying structure of applications to ensure optimal performance and scalability. You&aposll work on low-level improvements that directly impact how the app operates, refining core functionalities, and addressing performance bottlenecks. The team you will be joining has a deep understanding of iOS development, where you&aposll contribute to both the architectural integrity and technical efficiency, driving forward the evolution of mobile app infrastructure.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement architectural improvements to enhance app performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Work on low-level systems and components to optimize the app's core functionality and responsiveness.
  • Refactor and update existing codebases to align with modern best practices and new technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and improvements into the app's architecture.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve efficiency across the app.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure adherence to architectural standards and clean coding practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest iOS frameworks, tools, and industry trends to continually improve the app's design and operation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to the app's architecture and underlying systems.
  • You will be working on a mobile specific development team with experienced mobile developers. You will have many opportunities to collaborate with the team and learn from well versed developers.


Recommended Skills:

  • Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C for iOS development.
  • Basic Understanding of iOS architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM)
  • Familiarity with performance profiling tools (Instruments, Xcode Profiler) for identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Experience with dependency management tools like CocoaPods or Swift Package Manager.
  • Debugging skills and experience troubleshooting complex app issues.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (backend developers, designers, QA) to ensure seamless integration.
  • Strong communication skills for articulating technical concepts and improvements.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (XCTest, UI Testing) is a plus.


Required Education/Experience:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 0-2 years professional iOS development experience, internship experience or equivalent
