Responsibilities / Tasks
Leadership & Strategy
- Define and implement best practices, processes, and methodologies for project management.
- Develop and enforce project management standards aligned with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize the project portfolio.
- Provide thought leadership on project management tools, techniques, and frameworks.
- Responsible for ongoing process improvement and efficiency gains to ensure scalability in the PMO.
Project Portfolio Management
- Oversee the execution of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Prioritize projects, allocate resources, and monitor performance to meet key milestones and deliverables.
- Regularly update senior management on project status, risks, issues, and changes in scope.
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage project budgets to ensure adherence to financial constraints.
- Allocate resources efficiently to maximize project success.
- Evaluate project performance against budget and scope, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Production to ensure resource alignment with client expectations and project timelines.
- Align project milestones with revenue recognition budget and modeling.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact between senior leadership and project teams.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination among all stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain strong relationships.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
Risk & Issue Management
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
- Address project issues and obstacles in a timely manner.
- Conduct post-project reviews to learn lessons and implement improvements.
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes.
- Promote the use of innovative tools and technologies.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business, project management, engineering, or a related field is required
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred
- 10+ years of experience in project management, ideally in industrial refrigeration industry or industrial equipment manufacturing
- Proven experience managing large, complex projects with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, software, tools and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of fostering collaboration among stakeholders and resolving conflicts constructively
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines and adapting to changing priorities
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to address challenges and make data-driven decisions
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets and resource management and revenue recognition modeling
