Job Description: Commercial Security Service TechnicianOverviewWe are seeking a skilled Commercial Security Service Technician with experience in servicing and programming commercial electronic security devices. This role primarily involves working with video systems, access control, IP cameras, intrusion detection, video analytics, IP network systems, and overall security systems.
Skills and Abilities- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in servicing and programming commercial access control, IP-based video systems, and intrusion alarm systems.
- Troubleshooting: At least 2 years of experience in troubleshooting and programming networked access control and IP video systems, including working on customer networks.
- Alternative Experience: Experience as a multi-site Network Support Specialist or similar role is acceptable.
- Remote Support: Ability to support customer systems via remote diagnostics with professionalism.
- Networking Knowledge: Essential knowledge and practical experience with the internet and networking.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and resolve problems to customer satisfaction.
- Driving License: Must possess a valid driving license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- System Servicing: Service, troubleshoot, program, and test enterprise security systems with minimal supervision. Preferred knowledge of access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion, and visitor management systems.
- Networked Systems: Troubleshoot and program networked IP video systems and access control devices.
- Intrusion Systems: Service commercial intrusion alarm systems and other IoT connected systems.
- Professionalism: Maintain detailed, structured, and timely work practices.
- Documentation and Communication: Understand the importance of thorough documentation and clear communication.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients.
- Minimum Requirement: High School diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Electronics training from a Technical School or Military training in electronics or communications.
