The Regional Development Director plays a critical role in driving regional growth and business development for implant and full arch practices. This position is responsible for expanding referrals, increasing practice revenue, and contributing to the development of best practices for the broader organization. The Director will also assist in the growth of new or struggling markets and identify opportunities for surgeon recruiting and mergers & acquisitions (M&A). The role requires strategic leadership and hands-on involvement to meet the company's regional and organizational growth goals.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to grow implant and full arch referrals, enhancing overall practice revenue.
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and implement strategies to increase revenue across the region.
- Collaborate with practice leaders and cross-functional teams to optimize clinical, operational, and business performance.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices, growth programs, and training across the platform.
- Share successful strategies from the region to improve the overall performance and efficiency of the organization.
- Provide hands-on support to new or underperforming markets within the region to drive growth
- Work closely with practice teams to assess market challenges, develop tailored solutions, and support their growth.
- Contribute to the recruitment of surgeons and ensure that they align with the region's growth goals.
- Identify M&A opportunities, working closely with leadership to evaluate, negotiate, and integrate new practices into the platform.
- Manage equity opportunities for surgeons and practices, aligning these with long-term regional growth.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective partners to ensure alignment with growth and revenue goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record in regional business development, mergers and acquisitions, or healthcare-related growth roles.
- 5-10 years of experience in healthcare, business development, or related fields.
- Experience with surgeon recruiting, practice acquisition, and market expansion.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with due diligence, risk assessment, and valuation.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel within the region to support practices and new growth initiatives.
