We are currently seeking a Program Specialist to join our Meals on Wheels team in Seattle, Washington.
What will YOU do?
The Meals on Wheels (MOW) Program Specialist is a key contributor in supporting the delivery of nutritious meals and services to seniors that are homebound across King County. The Specialist ensures the efficient and compassionate operation of the program through client assessments, managing intake processes, client order processing, and administrative tasks. The position also provides direct assistance to twenty satellite sites and maintains effective communication with clients, volunteers, community partners, and the public.
Pay Rate: $26.15 - $28.00 per hour.
Work Schedule: Monday Through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings and in-home and or virtual assessments to determine client eligibility and needs.
- Manage client intake process in accordance with program and contract policies and procedures and utilizing program tools.
- Place calls to clients for meal orders and address concerns.
- Independently provide information and advice to staff, program participants, volunteers, and the public regarding program content, policies, and activities.
- Serve as program liaison between the organization and community social service agencies. Communicate and coordinate with various agencies case managers.
- Troubleshoot complex problems and emergent situations. Effectively manage interactions with clients who may exhibit challenging behaviors.
- Maintain accurate client records in the program database, ensuring compliance with program policies.
- Ensure compliance with safety and confidentiality standards.
- Serve as a resource and support for the program's 20 satellite sites, offering in-person and remote assistance including technical assistance, troubleshooting. and providing guidance.
- Travel to satellite sites to provide hands-on assistance, including site coordination, packing meal orders, and occasional meal deliveries, as needed.
- Collaborate with staff to identify and resolve program challenges.
- Review participants' operations and performance to ensure they follow program policies, procedures, and regulations, offering guidance or support as needed.
- Perform the work of lower classified positions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree OR Equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years related experience.
