Full Job Description

The role of the Payroll Coordinator is to compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. This role will perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. They will also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers. The Payroll Coordinator supports the Finance Department in accomplishing its mission by excelling in the below duties. Payroll Coordinator enters pay information, administers payroll and oversees time-clocking software. They will fix all issues regarding pay, PTO and hours. This role also includes reporting on company transactions.

  • Ensure Paylocity Time & Labor is accurate and completed by the payroll cutoff date
  • Maintain accurate records of employee hours, wages, and deductions
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and best practices
  • Frequent verbal and written communication with colleagues
  • Responsible for accounts payable, processing invoices in a timely manner
  • Processing billing for client services bi-weekly
  • Timely upkeep of existing and upcoming contracts (service agreements)


  • 2+ years of experience in payroll processing
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in G Suite, Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience with Paylocity is a plus
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field


Compensation details: 45000-55000 Hourly Wage
