Customer Service Representative
Job Summary:The Customer Service Representative is responsible for the processing of payments, responding to customer inquiries, request, complaints and sales. Job functions would include: process service/meter orders; calculate and adjust electric service billed revenue as required; negotiate with customers concerning late payment arrangements and determine deposit amounts when required; process new service orders/transfers; speaking to customers about services and products.
Job Requirements:- Business office experience strongly preferred
- Experience with customer billing systems
- Experience with cash processes
- Ability to process a high volume of transactions
- Proven customer service experience
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Previous utility customer service experience highly desired
- Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
- Flexible and the ability to multi-task
- Dependable
- Positive attitude
- Initiative
Must be able to handle all functions of a business office representative and is self-directed with strong initiative and has the desire and ability for continued career growth. Successful candidate will be expected to make a positive difference for the customer and for Mississippi Power Company daily.
