THE OPPORTUNITY

The London Program Coordinator assists in the development and execution of the London Program for First Year Students. The Coordinator supports aspects of the program including participant selection, logistics, communications and marketing, and program onboarding.

The First Year in London program is a new program expected to start in the fall of 2025 to create a community of first year students who will have the opportunity to expand their horizons and entrepreneurial ways of thinking through studying abroad in London.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Outreach/Marketing/Communications

Develops and implements marketing strategies to promote program to first-year students, including information sessions, workshops, and digital outreach.

Liaises with the Admission Office, Glavin Office of International Education, and the division of Learner Success and Campus Life as well as the host provider partner(s) to serve as primary contact for program questions and inquiries, provide one on one and group advising to prospective students and families, and outreach to parents to help them understand the options for their students and to ensure a seamless experience for those involved.

Collaborates with College Marketing to develop and implement a marketing strategy targeting prospective students and parents to drive program awareness and enrollment. This includes, but is not limited to, marketing collateral, communication flows, social media, and maintaining the online presence for the program.

Admission Selection

Creates and manages the program’s application process including coordinating outreach aligned with admission decision notification to matriculation and beyond.

Oversees the programs yield and anti-melt email campaign.

Onboarding and Predeparture Preparation

Provides program-specific pre-departure orientation and materials in partnership with the Glavin Office of International Education including assisting students with visa applications, health and safety preparations, and other predeparture requirements as needed.

Connects students with appropriate Babson resources for academic planning and student success services as needed.

Respond to parent and family questions and provide predeparture materials to students and their families.

Onsite

Serves as the primary point of contact for students, families and the provider partner for the duration of the program providing ongoing support and managing any issues that may arise. Works closely with the provider partner to address any issues that may arise and ensure successful program delivery.

Advises individual students experiencing cultural adjustment difficulties (e.g., homesickness, housing concerns, course expectations, etc.).

Coordinates Babson branded events in collaboration with Admissions, the Glavin Office and Alumni and Friends to build Babson community and connections.

Reentry Support

Liaises with Student Engagement team to design re-entry and orientation programming as students integrate into the Wellesley campus in January.

Liaises with Housing to support students transitioning from Arcadia housing in London to campus housing in Wellesley.

Designs reentry event to welcome students and families to campus.

Program Administration

Builds and maintains relationships with partner provider(s), faculty members, and other stakeholders involved in the program.

Design, collect, and analyze program evaluation and/or post-experience focus group

Maintains accurate records of student participation, program outcomes, and feedback for continuous improvement.

Prepares reports and presentations for university leadership on program progress and impact.

Manages program budget.

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED

Associate’s Degree

At least 2-4 years of related experience.

Strong attention to detail.

Project management experience.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment and interact with culturally diverse individuals at all levels of the organization.

Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft office.

Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support Entrepreneurial Thought & Action; to take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.

Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.

HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK

This is a temporary role working approximately 15-20 hours per week up to 9 months, with the possibility for extension.

Some nights and weekends may be required.

Requires work onsite a minimum of 2 days a week; the on-campus requirement is subject to modification based on organizational need.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS YOU MAY HAVE

Previous work in higher education a plus.
