Cloud Project Manager
Job Description:
The Cloud Project Manager will be responsible for managing and implementing complex cloud projects that utilize Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate should be well-versed in project management methodologies, cloud technology, and AWS products and services. They should also possess the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. As a Cloud Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of a specific project which has a beginning, and an end, with specified deliverables. Once a plan has been developed, the Cloud Project Manager will work with the Cloud Implementation Engineer to assist in the design, implementation, and testing of cloud-based applications, services, and infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Scheduling - Establish a project plan, baseline the plan, manage schedule and resource load
- Help teams develop and drive a plan with well-defined milestones
- Reviews deliverables prepared by delivery practitioners prior to customer submission, and maintains the overall document repository for the project
- Interface with all areas affected by the project, including end users and other internal groups to coordinate project activities
- Participate in team meetings, provide status updates, and work with others to ensure project timelines are met
- Work with the Stakeholders to evaluate secure Cloud Solution Requirements and provide guidance on solution/technical architecture guidance
- Analyze existing business applications and Cloud platform technical requirements to ensure that functional, technical, and application migration changes adhere to global technology standards
- Coordinate with different technical teams responsible for applications' migration between development, test, Integration, and Production environments
- Manage change requests for all cloud migration activities, and tracks all events associated with those activities in order to maximize systems availability and avoid errors
- Establish and implement technical project methodologies and processes
- Facilitate the resolution of issues and escalate to senior management as needed
- At Least 5 years' experience working in a large scale, complex IT environment
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or directly related field
- At least 8 years team management experience and 1+ years experienced using Agile to deliver projects
- Experience with a software professional services or consulting firm (SaaS preferred), including proven ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical customers alike
- Experience with recognized project management methodologies including work breakdown structures, risk/issue management, resource loading, project monitoring and controlling, and quality assurance
- Be an excellent communicator with sound organizational skills
- Be professional and able to represent our company toward clients
- Knowledge and experience with enterprise web applications and content management systems
- Have a minimum of 2 years of documented experience as a Project Manager
- Have Prince 2, Scrum or other Project Management methodology certificates or equivalent qualifications
- Be willing and able to learn new technologies and processes
