Job Description:
Primary Purpose:The Application Developer will work within the Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) to develop and support low-code technology solutions to improve and transform business processes across the Enterprise. They will use their programming experience combined with analytical skills to develop repeatable and reusable automated solutions in accordance with best practices. They will collaborate with Business Analysts and other members of the CoE to assist with process discovery, feasibility tests of new applications, process mapping, and creating deployment schedules. The goal of the Application Developer will be to expand our automation capabilities and support our production environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the automation CoE to support the implementation of automation solutions and assure the quality of automation.
- Translate business requirements into technical approaches and designs that can be implemented.
- Designs, develops, and implements new automation solutions to meet functional and strategic requirements
- Works as part of the automation CoE team to achieve production and operational goals
- Logically document steps into a process flow map
- Configure new automated processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable, and easy to understand.
- Define and agree upon deployment plans with customers and stakeholders.
- Conduct feasibility tests against different automation solutions
- Work within project constraints, communicate any identified project risks and issues to the PM accordingly.
- Determine which parameters will change from development to production in configurations.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise in day to day running of Clients Application Processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required.
- Stay current on the latest cloud technologies as it relates to application development
- Stay current on the latest development patterns, best practices, tools, frameworks, and security
- Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field preferred
- Programming experience in Python, C++, PowerShell, or Java
- Willingness to learn and become proficient in Power platform and other automation technologies.
- Understands workflow-based logic
- Understands JSON and XML data formats
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Is comfortable interacting with business stakeholders
- Can work deadlines and manage expectations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Is self-motivated and deadline-oriented
- Is flexible with work hours as business needs arise
Desired Skills & Competencies:
- Experience working in the financial industry
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud
- Experience with Azure LogicApps, Functions, Automation, App Services, Storage Accounts, Key Vault
- Experience with Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate
- Experience with Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Azure Tables, and Dataverse
Physical Requirements:
- Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
- Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
